Lets face it, no matter how good mobile phones get they are never going to be very good in the optical zoom department. Sure, some phones have a high resolution that allows them to make good use of a digital zoom, but there isn’t really enough space to fit a bulky zoom lens onto a mobile phone.
A new product from Brando hopes to change this by allowing users to retro fit a 6x zoom lens to a Nokia phone. The device seems pretty simple and uses a special clip on phone case to hold the lens in place. Presumably this limits its use to Nokia phones. At only $19 it’s a good way to get into long distance photography without buying an expensive camera.
