For those of you who don’t know this weekend marks the start of CES in Las Vegas. Some of you are bound to be wondering what products will be launching so we have produced a quick rundown of the products we think will be announced this week.
- LG are intending to launch the Shine phone in the US at this weeks CES show in Las Vegas. The LG Shine has been going strong in Korea for a few months now and is a 2 mega pixel camera phone with stainless steel casing.
- Samsung have developed a double sided LCD screen to help them shave 1mm off the thickness of their already thin mobile phones. Some people totally missed the point of the screen and thought it was a really double sided small TV. Just to set the record straight – it isn’t.
- A huge commotion on Tuesday when Steve Jobs launches the Apple keynote speech from Macworld in San Francisco.
- Mass panic from manufacturers of MP3 players and cell phones if Apple announce the launch of the iPod phone.
- Giant screen TV’s. While mobile phones are getting thinner every few months manufacturers of HDTV’s are continually battling for the publicity associated with producing the largest screens possible. Expect LG, Samsung and Panasonic to all unveil huge screens this week.
- A plethora of HSDPA phones will no doubt be revealed this week and we will be keeping you posted as fast as we can. Most people expect Sony Ericsson and Nokia to be releasing some big products.
- Bill Gates will be presenting a keynote speech on Sunday so he should be taking advantage of the captive audience to launch some good products. Whether they will be for the Xbox 360 remains to be seen.
