Sony Ericsson K810Since the Sony Ericsson K800i set new standards in the camera phone market last summer, other manufacturers have struggled to come up with a credible rival. With todays launch of the new Sony Ericsson K810i the standard appears to have been raised once again.

The K810i is aimed at users who want a phone with the high specifications of the K800i in a slimmer package and it seems to meet these standards. With a sleek and stylish casing the K810i looks amazing and the features are at the same high level that works so well on the K800i.

A 3.2 megapixel camera with the auto focus that helped the K800i win our camera phone text combines with a great red eye reducing Xenon flash to take very high quality pictures. The K810 adds Illuminated Camera Icons at the side of the keypad which light up when the lens cap is open to offer one touch access to the camera functions. Sony Ericsson have made sure you really do never have to miss a shot.

High speed picture blogging is made possible thanks to the UTMS connection and an advanced photo fix solution offers instant editing of lower quality pictures and the ability to sharpen up contrast levels and optimise brightness at the touch of a button.

Steve Walker, head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson, commented:

Worldwide, consumers are realising that the best digital camera is the one you have with you. The K800 established this and positioned the Cyber-shot phone as a credible fusion of phone and camera. Now the K810 and K550 move the market forward by introducing new applications that equate to real improvements in the customer experience, as well as introducing these phones to a whole new audience.

Also included in the Sony Ericsson K810i is a BestPic feature allowing you to take nine photos in quick succession and choose the best one. Perfect for action shots.

The K810 will be available in Spring 2007 and is available in Noble Blue and Golden Ivory.
