Random House, a major book publisher, is offering the first chapter of a new book free on mobile phones.
The opening chapter of “Life’s A Pitch”, a business manual, will be offered by SMS text message and users will be offered a 40% discount on the full book.
We are not sure how many texts will be sent but with most phones limiting the size of a message it could be quite a few.
