Callwave offer free visual voicemail for your PC

by Patrick Altoft on February 1, 2007

Visual voicemail wasn’t a cool application until Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone would include a feature to view your voicemail messages on your phone.

On the face of it a visual voicemail application is a really great addition to your mobile phone. Voicemail messages have never been as easy to manage as text messages or emails but a graphical interface now promises to change this forever.

A new service (available in the US only at present) allows users to install a widget on their Apple Dashboard, Yahoo! Widgets or Windows Vista Gadgets interface to show voicemail messages on their PC.

Apparently the service “allows uses to see and hear their mobile phone messages right on their PC”. The widget is available to Cingular, T Mobile and Verizon via the Call Wave website.
