An interesting new theft prevention system has been developed in China which sends a text to 5 pre-set numbers if your phone is stolen.
The phone detects when a different SIM card is added and then sends a message to 5 numbers that you have pre-programmed into the memory.
The message contains details of the new SIM card so you can contact the Police and they will be able to investigate. Another good innovation is that you can reply to the message and lock the stolen handset to protect your data.
This seems quite a simple idea, so why don’t all phones do it?
