iPhone battery life is 40 minutes

by Patrick Altoft on April 5, 2007

According to sources at Cingular who have been testing the iPhone recently the battery life is just 40 minutes. Whilst the iPhone is still in testing and is by no means a finished product you would expect something as important as the battery to be sorted by now.

He says the amateur mistake that they made is not having a removable battery. You run 20 minutes and you’re using up half the battery power. You get 40 minutes total talk time. And the interface fouls up constantly.

I would never buy the iPhone. It’s a complete waste and silly gimmick from Apple who’s trying to be sooo innovative’. Soo what it’s a mix but Apple is just rushing it without proper testing, kinda like Gates and his MS stuff. Whoopie do, Apple iPhone sucks.

wow what a great source. You wrap a personal issue you have with the iphone around a BS lie.
There is no way apple would release a phone with a 40 minute talk time, especially when it was already stated to have a talk time in the range of HOURS.

I don’t have any issues with the iPhone. We were just reporting on what this guy said he was told by a Cingular rep.

I have an i Phone and the standby time is 10 hours, which drops dramatically as soon as you use it for anything. I haven\\\’t used it that much for voice, but i would imagine 40 mins is quite realistic.

Verizon is about the only place you can get the authentic RIM product and matching door. Most other sites are out of stock and even when they are in stock they have the black battery door which looks like crap.http://www.batteryfast.co.uk

40 Minute, i think you need to check your sources, or can someones ass! my god, ive spent most of my day on the net, made a few calls, played on some of my NEW 2.0 applications and still have just under half of my battery left.

ANYONE who thinks the iphone is a gimmic need to be educated, its a beakthrough device that allows me to go on the net, listen to internet radio, and now, my god thae graphic arnt bad compared to some phones on the maket. There is no comparison compared to what the iphone has done in universities, hospitals, and large businesses. You need to watch the keynote and that will give you an idea of what the iphone can do before you label it a “gimmick”

very dissapointed that this was a major result on google, get to the back of the line.
