The mobile phone networks will allow you to purchase a new phone and contract and keep your existing phone number as long as your current contract has finished (normally after 12 months) and you are changing to another network.

The process of keeping your number is actually quite straightforward.

1. Choose and buy your new handset
2. Request a PAC (Port Authorisation Code) from your current phone network
3. Contact your new network and let them have your PAC number

Important Information

• If you are transferring from Vodafone or O2 you need to obtain your PAC prior to ordering the new phone.
• Do not cancel your existing contract before the number is transferred.
