The BBC is reporting this weekend on a new mobile phone designed for the elderly which includes a built in emergency button, loudspeaker and large easy to read buttons.
The Emporia is being exhibited at CeBIT and is designed for the over 50’s with only basic functions including calls and text messages included.
The dualband Life handset can be programmed with 5 emergency numbers and a large red button on the back calls them if the user requires assistance.
The screen is designed to be bright and easy to read for those with poor eyesight and the volume for both the ringtones and speaker can be set very loud for the hard of hearing.
