The E Series from Nokia has traditionally been an uneventful collection of cell phone range but during the last few years has seen a dramatic improvement in its destiny. The Nokia E65 and E51 were the once to take the market by storm and it was not just the businessmen to buy them. The Nokia E series has started to look much attractive like its N-series multimedia siblings. The Nokia E71 is the latest addition to the Nokia E Series which would be available in July 2008. The pricing is for this phone is nearly €350 including the SIM and it might also be free using the monthly contract.
Design
The Nokia E71 is one of the most attractive cell phones from Nokia till date. Most of the cell phones that have QWERTY keypads usually specific finesse but this handset is surely something different. Apart from looking attractive the outstanding metal casing gives a very classy feel which is also not too light or too heavy. Being 10mm thick the handset would comfortably fit in your pocket although being wide than the average phones. The QWERTY keypad and the screen are perfectly laid out and there are also series of shortcut keys which give handy access to your contacts, calendar and emails. Although the keys are small they are pretty usable as every key is raised that easily distinguishes them.
Features
The Nokia E71 is designed without lacking in exciting features and in fact this smart phone includes more features than the average Nokia handset. This cell phone offers you several basic rights as setting your personal email like yahoo and Gmail are very simple. You just have to feed in your mail address with the password to finish the process. The Nokia E71 also is also Microsoft exchange compatible. Connecting to the web for receiving or sending emails or to just browse the web is very much possible anywhere you go through the Wi-Fi or HSDPA. If you need to save your battery life, then you probably turn off the Wi-Fi scanning.
Surfing through the internet is much better through the in built browsers. The pages are entirely displayed and surprisingly the browser of E71 supports flash that lets you view YouTube videos. As the cell phone uses S60 operating system you can easily download several programs including Google Maps and Opera Mini. It also includes GPS that lets you use Google Maps navigation feature to track directions.

The start page of Nokia E71 is a small but notable feature as it allows y9ou to display applications, emails and other features. You can also create another start page that can be either for home or office and can switch between them. The Nokia E71 also includes a 3.2 megapixel camera. Most of the people have however found this feature to be disappointing due to its slow speed and blurry pictures. The performance offered by the device is also excellent and if you need to extend your battery life then you should switch off all the unused applications.

Is the built in browser by nokia or by opera?
How do I download opera mini? The opera mini website does not list e71 as a compatible phone.
Thanks.

Reply to Kunal above, go to http://www.mobile9.com click on softwares, in the drop menu select Nokia E71, and search, you will be able to download either direct to your computer or will be given a wap link. It is the latest version (4.0)

I think you are looking for Opera Mobile, which is a native S60 application.
