Analysts are eagerly waiting for Nokia to publish its 2006 results on Thursday and most are predicting sales of over 100 million handsets during the busy Christmas period.
We have already seen Sony Ericsson doing well last year and other manufacturers such as Samsung have also seen increased profits. Nokia are the worlds largest mobile phone manufacturer so their results are always the most eagerly awaited.

Nokia has seen strong sales in India and other developing markets after reducing its prices on low end handsets. Nokia’s high end handsets such as the Nseries usually see similar sales trends to the Sony Ericsson handsets so we are expecting to see strong figures for these sales.
In the past Nokia has held a 35% market share and this is predicted to continue as no other manufacturers have made significant inroads.
Our predicted figure for the operated profit would be around £1 billion.
