Nokia is planning to start selling WiMax enabled mobile phones early next year, according to a statement released yesterday.
WiMax offers high speed internet access from laptops, phones and PDA’s over a larger distance (a few kilometres) than existing technologies such as WiFi.
Motorola are also planning on selling a WiMax phone during 2008. US network Sprint Nextel recently committed $3 billion to invest in the technology.
