Mobile phone network O2 is reinforcing its position as the fasted growing UK network as it completes its £30 million takeover of The Link.
O2 chief executive Peter Erskine said: ‘There is an orderly queue forming for the 200-odd of the 300 Link stores we don’t want to keep. The deal is imminent. That will help us keep our dominant position in this country.’
Strong second quarter results saw O2 add nearly 500,000 customers bring the total to 16.8 million including Tesco Mobile users.
