Remote activated Nokia 7260 Spy Phone

by Patrick Altoft on July 25, 2006

A mobile phone modification company in the Netherlands has developed an amazing spy version of the popular Nokia 7260 handset.

The phone can be given to an unsuspecting user and then activated at any time and used to eavesdrop on nearby conversations. When a special number is called the phone silently answers itself and starts transmitting data to the spy without the user ever being aware of what is going on.

From the spyphones.com website:

The Nokia spy telephone is programmed with a telephone number and when anyone calls the spy-phone, it rings and operates as a normal telephone but when the phone is called using the previously programmed spygsm number, it automatically answers without any ringing or lights and the display appears as if it is on ordinary standby…

A modified Nokia 7260 able to monitor and spy on conversation from anywhere in the world. By installing an access telephone number into the phone and then calling the phone from that number activates the spy phone turning it into a sophisticated bugging device, allowing you to hear what is going on in the vicinity of the phone.
