Samsung U700 slider phone review

by Patrick Altoft on February 13, 2007

Samsung U700Samsung are continuing their quest for producing the thinnest cell phones and have just announced the addition of the U700 slider phone to their Ultra range of ultra thin phones.

The U700 is actually the thickest of the Ultra family at 12.1mm although this is still thinner than almost all other mobile phones.

Samsung have given the U700 a HSDPA internet connection which runs at 3.6Mbps as well as video telephony and a 3 mega pixel digital camera with auto focus. The memory is only 20MB but you can expand to 1GB thanks to the MicroSD card slot.

Also included is an MP3 player and photo editing software, Bluetooth and a cool wheel key to navigate the menu.

Available in the UK and Europe during March/April 2007.

I loved the design of this phone and bought it when I decided to change phones – however, after a year of use, something went wrong and now there is no sound at all. Also, the skin peeled off, which makes it look ugly. One of my friends had another serious problem with this phone (something with the display) I wouldn’t recommend this phone to anyone….
