Whilst some companies are finding it hard to gain traction in the mobile TV market using mid range handsets Sony Ericsson are to launch a Bravia branded phone this June in Asia.
With huge success in the music and camera phone sectors thanks to the Walkman and Cybershot branding Sony Ericssson has been widely tipped to bring out a Bravia (and maybe a WEGA) TV phone.
The Sony Ericsson Bravia has a slide out 3 inch screen for horizontal widescreen viewing as well as time shift recording so you can watch shows at your leisure.
A 2 mega pixel CMOS camera and microSD card slot are also included. From the pictures below the phone is certainly stunning. The first thought that sprang to our mind was the comments made by Virgin Mobile earlier today about needing premium handsets and time slip recording to kick start their TV service.
We wouldn’t bet against seeing Sony Ericsson Bravia handsets on Virgin Mobile by the end of the year.
