Our Sony Ericsson K750i Review

Sony Ericsson K750iSony Ericsson were one of the first manufacturers to create dedicated camera phones and the K750i was the leader of this revolution. The 2 mega pixel digital camera with its retractable lens cover was the best on the market when the phone was launched last year. Available in blasted silver or a superb oxidised black colour the K750i is an ideal mid range camera phone.

Measuring 100 x 46 x 20.5 mm and weighing just 99 grams the Sony Ericsson K750i is a very small phone considering its advanced features. The camera is capable of some excellent photos and has a number of features to edit and improve your images. A range of settings and an automatic flash allow you to take great pictures no matter what the conditions. The camera also is capable of taking some high quality video footage that can be sent via MMS messages or transferred using Bluetooth.

The colour screen has a 176 x 220 pixel resolution and 262k colours so you can view your images with minimal loss in quality. A selection of preinstalled Java games look great on the screen and more can be downloaded from the web.

The Sony Ericsson K750i includes an advanced MP3 player with Memory Stick support so you can expand up to 1Gb. Our testers rated the sound quality as excellent and we were impressed with the RDS enabled FM radio which displays the station and track details on the screen as you listen.

An innovative PlayNow feature allows you to stream music from the internet and listen as it downloads, all via the touch of a button. A MusicDJ application comes pre loaded with a variety of tunes and sound effects so you can compose your own ringtones and songs.

With the aid of a USB cable and the PC software included in the pack you can connect the K750i to your phone and edit images as well as downloading your pictures to share online.

The K750i also includes email, MMS and SMS as well as a personal organiser and calendar function.

Although not quite as advanced as the K800i the Sony Ericsson K750i is a very good camera phone and is more than capable of pictures to rival a lot of digital cameras.
