Sony Ericsson have today announced the Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman phone designed to appeal to the “urban cool” market. The W580 offers a full on music phone experience with storage for 470 tracks and also includes a high quality 2 megapixel camera and a bunch or gaming, sports and entertainment features.
Available in either Style White or Urban Grey this slider phone looks as good as we have come to expect from Sony Ericsson with its stunning orange effects down the sides. The lights automatically glow whenever the phone moves into Walkman mode.
Continuing the trend set by the Sony Ericsson W880i the W580i is nice and thin and has the tried and tested Disc2Phone music management software.
Like other Walkman phones the W580 includes TrackID so you can identify music tracks over the RDS radio or when they are playing from an external source.
Sports features on the W580 include step counter, calorie counter and running speed, distance and time measurements.
The large 2 inch colour screen makes the most of the 3D games included in the phone and a fast HSDPA internet connection offers instant messaging and picture blogging.
