Our Sony Ericsson W880i Review

Sony Ericsson W880iThe Sony Ericsson W880i is the latest generation Walkman phone and is the first of a new line of ultra thin devices that Sony Ericsson has introduced for 2007. Despite being just 9mm thin, the width of a CD case, the W880i still manages to include more features than previous Sony Ericsson Walkman models and has specifications that make other music phones pale in comparison.

Similar to the W810i in terms of the music player the W880 includes an advanced MP3 player with Walkman 2.0 MP3 and media player. As with the W810i the W880i includes a Mega Bass feature as well as MusicDJ and PlayNow software which turn the phone into a miniature DJ system. Sony Ericsson have included a very easy to use Disc 2 Phone software that loads into your PC and copies CD’s very easily onto the phones huge 1GB Memory Stick which is twice as big as the W810i. You can also transfer MP3 files onto the phone using either Bluetooth or the USB cable which is included. As well as the MP3 player the W880i includes an advanced FM radio so you can listen to your favourite stations.

Sony Ericsson have included a high quality 2 megapixel digital camera and have improved the battery life to over 450 hours standby time.

The W880i is available in a stunning metallic version or a matt black design and looks great in both. Expect this to be one of the top selling music phones of 2007.
