Wirefly, the US cell phone comparison websites, has announced a list of the most popular phones for 2006.
The data is a lot different to what we see in the UK where high end phones such as the Sony Ericsson K800i and LG Chocolate are top sellers. Amazingly the Motorola RAZR takes up the top 3 places in the list.
Wirefly’s most popular cell phones
- 1. Cingular RAZR by Motorola
- 2. T-Mobile Motorola RAZR
- 3. Verizon Wireless RAZR
- 4. Cingular Sony Ericsson z520a/z525a
- 5. T-Mobile Motorola v360
- 6. Verizon Wireless Motorola v276
- 7. Sprint Nextel Motorola i850
- 8. Sprint Nextel Motorola i710
- 9. Cingular Motorola v220
- 10. T-Mobile Samsung T309
Wirefly has great insight into cell phone trends and more importantly, consumer buying behavior in the wireless market today. Wirefly.com has increasingly become a bellwether for consumer trends in wireless, as tens of thousands of people purchase cell phones and rate plans on Wirefly every month after comparing hundreds of phone models from all the major carriers.
