Top 5 phones to get your girlfriend this Christmas

With only a few shopping days left until Christmas now is the time when most of the male population begin to think about maybe buying some presents. For those of you who, like me, struggle to think of the perfect gift this guide will help you choose a mobile phone for your girlfriend/wife/mum/sister.

LG Chocolate Pink

Although the Pink Chocolate is an obvious choice for this list it’s not just here because of the colour. The famous Chocolate phone has sold 6 million units in 2006 and is one of the most popular and stylish handsets on the market.

For those of you after a slightly more subtle phone the Chocolate is also available in its original chocolate colour as well as a cool White Chocolate version and a Wine Red colour exclusive to the Carphone Warehouse group in the UK.

Features include a 1.3 mega pixel digital camera, MP3 player and built in USB port.

Samsung E900

Next on our list and one of the more advanced models on test is the Samsung E900. Available in eye catching hot pink and shiny black the Samsung is the smallest phone on test at only 16.5mm thin.

Features include a smooth slide open design, user friendly menu system and 2 mega pixel camera with USB / TV outputs to allow easy photo sharing.

Nokia 6111

Another pink phone (also available in silver/grey) is the Nokia 6111. Like the LG and the Samsung this phone is chosen not because of the colour but due to the great range of features and its compact size. The digital camera, Bluetooth, FM radio and GPRS internet connection are all essential features for any girl and the 6111 will not disappoint.

Although not the most high end handset on the market this Christmas the 6111 makes a great buy if you are looking for a mid range handset and aren’t worried about having a 3 megapixel camera and lots of MP3 storage.

Motorola KRZR K1

The Motorola MOTO KRZR K1 is a new version of the RAZR so if the girl in your life was a RAZR fan then this is the phone to buy. The KRZR is a sleeker model than the RAZR and has a stylish milled aluminium casing. In terms of features the KRZR is pretty mid range but is better equipped than the RAZR was. A 2 mega pixel camera and MP3 player with 20Mb internal memory should keep your girl happy during the Boxing Day match.

Samsung D900

The slimmest phone on test is the Samsung D900 at only 13mm and 100 grams. A great sliding case and high quality 3.13 mega pixel camera make this a great high end phone for girls who like lots of high tech features.
