Track your kids online using Phonesitter

by Patrick Altoft on July 26, 2006

Keeping tabs on your kids is about to get a whole lot easier with the introduction of a new service in the UK called Phonesitter.

From August 13th any phone on one of the 4 major networks will be trackable via the Phonesitter service.

The results can be viewed and printed online and the site even offers maps, satellite phones and directions. Subscribers can also receive updates via SMS.

Phonesitter joint owner, Rafael Fernandez, told us: “This is an answer to the dilemma of many parents who want to give their kids more freedom but need the reassurance of knowing exactly where they are without having to nag them with phone calls and texts.”

Tracking is only possible with the consent of the person being tracked and they can opt out of the service at any time. A monthly fee of £5 covers allows parents to track up to 5 phones.
