Following recent record losses Vodafone is looking to diversify into the landline and broadband internet marketplace.
The giant indicated that while it would initially act as a reseller of broadband services a move to buy and unbundled telephone exchanges would not be ruled out.
Vodafone, which unveiled its plans to boost revenues on Tuesday, said the drive to replace fixed lines in homes and offices with mobile phones remained at the top of its agenda.
