Vodafone launch YouTube Mobile
Since we reported on the new partnership between Vodafone and myspace another announcement has been released. This time Vodafone are launching YouTube Mobile.

Vodafone customers will be able to access new videos daily as well as upload content and send recommendations to their friends. Initially the service will be launched in the UK but will be extended across Europe using the Vodafone Live! Service.

YouTube is one of the largest sites on the internet and is perfectly placed to be used on mobile phones. With data transfer becoming faster and cheaper and phone screens more suitable for showing video we are expecting YouTube to be huge once its available on all phones.

Steve Chen from YouTube commented:

People want to view and share favourite YouTube videos seamlessly wherever and whenever they want. Partnering with Vodafone will accelerate those efforts to serve our loyal YouTube users as well as allow new mobile audiences to enjoy YouTube.

This will be bad news for Yospace, the mobile video hosting site we covered earlier this week.
